FDCA Heat Policy - Friday Night and Saturday  Games Match Awards Schedule:
Now we have a settled FDCA fixure; the club will be running Junior Match Award Sessions at Doug Denyer on a regular basis, starting at 7pm, a BBQ will be run and some drinks available for purchase as well. Good chance to meet the other parents and supporters.

 For all junior grades, under 12’s, under 14’s and under 16’s if the temperature is 37c before the start of play, play must not proceed. The temperature will be based on the reading given by the Moorabbin weather station prior to the commencement of play, and is to be used as a source to monitor the temperature throughout the day. (phone: 1196) 

 1.1.3     Play can only commence if the temperature drops below 37c as according to the.

 1.1.4     If 30 minutes after the scheduled start time the temperature has still not dropped below 37c play is to be abandoned.

 1.1.5     If the temperature exceeds 37c at the break play shall cease and only resume if the temperature drops below 37c.

 1.1.6     Each day’s play is to be independent of each other.  That is, if one day’s play is abandoned, it will not affect the next day’s play unless that day’s temperature also exceeds 37c.

 1.1.7     If the temperature on a scheduled day’s play is expected to exceed 37c, teams can, by mutual agreement re-schedule games by the Thursday prior to the round.   Any dispute will be resolved by the FDCA referring to the Moorabbin weather station.
